Health Services

Health Services at Mount Mercy supports the physical and psychological needs of students, faculty and staff on campus. A registered nurse is available to students, faculty and staff to help with specific health needs and to assist in maintaining and improving your overall well-being.

We provide a wide-array of services including the assessment of acute illness, distribution of a variety of over-the-counter medications free of charge, immunizations and health assessments. When appropriate, students are referred to services on campus and in the community, including but not limited to, physicians, counselors and medical clinics.

Michelle has been the Director of Health Services since 2006. She received her Associate of Applied Science Degree from Kirkwood Community College in 1996, her undergraduate Bachelors of Science Degree in Nursing from Mount Mercy in 2006 and her Master's of Science in Nursing from the University of Iowa in 2009. She has a variety of experiences from acute hospital care, pediatric home health, NICU, and family practice.
