Tammy Pickart, Assistant Professor of Nursing of the Martin-Herold College of Nursing & Health, has been teaching nursing students full-time since 2010. Tammy has been with Mount Mercy University full-time since August 2022.

Tammy works collaboratively with nursing staff to develop vital, confident new graduate nurses. Before coming to Mount Mercy University, she worked at Kirkwood Community College in the nursing department as an associate professor.

Starting as a dedicated Registered Nurse since 1999, Tammy has over 20 years of nursing experience—providing high-quality care to adult patients with acute and chronic conditions. Tammy is passionate about using various educational tools and teaching methods to meet the auditory, visual, and kinetic needs of students within the classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical learning settings.
