Katerina Althoff, from Cascade, Iowa, is an English major with minors in criminal justice and creative writing. While at Mount Mercy University, she has been involved with the cross country and track teams, STEPS Leadership Program and study abroad opportunities. She has also served as an Orientation Leader, as book club facilitator at the Anamosa State Penitentiary and on the selection committee for Mount Mercy’s annual literary magazine, PAHA.
Katerina credits her professors and coaches for her development of character, skills and experiences that have provided the foundation for her success in and out of the classroom. She is especially grateful for the compassionate faculty and staff at Mount Mercy who have helped her become the person she is today.
She is forever grateful for her parents and brother who have always been her personal cheerleading squad.
