The university choir performs both a wide variety of choral repertoire both on and off campus. University choir is a non-audition choir open to students from all majors and disciplines, allowing anyone from the student body to participate in choral music making.
The Jazz Connection is an auditioned vocal jazz ensemble that gives the opportunity to sing choral works from the jazz repertoire.
The Madrigal Singers is an auditioned ensemble that specializes in choral music of the Renaissance, but also sings chamber music from all ages. The Madrigal Singers form the main ensemble for the Madrigal Dinner held in December.
The annual spring break tour is both a service and a performance tour, visiting locations such as New Orleans, La., New York, N.Y. and Denver, Colo.
Choirs have access to fully equipped teaching performance facilities, including Stello Performance Hall and the Chapel of Mercy.
Vocal music scholarships are available for up to $3,000 per year for incoming freshmen and $2,000 for transfer students on a renewable basis. Private lessons for vocal, piano, and instruments are open to students from all majors.
