MMU’s Office of Marketing & Communications (MarCom) invites applications for a full-time recruitment marketing coordinator. The recruitment marketing coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of marketing and communication strategies to attract and enroll new adult undergraduate and graduate students to the university, as defined by university-wide enrollment goals and the university strategic plan. The marketing coordinator collaborates with the adult and graduate recruitment teams on marketing strategies to significantly increase inquiries and applicants to achieve recruitment goals. They oversee the daily email, web, and print communications functions and generate content for the adult and graduate programs. This position requires on-site work at our Cedar Rapids campus.


  • Develop, manage, and implement a comprehensive, multi-channel, segmented communication plan for the recruitment of new students (adult undergraduate and graduate) to the university including direct mail, email, social media, web, phone, text, etc.
  • Oversee and implement marketing plan for corporate educational partners.
  • Responsible for writing, editing, and maintain website content related to adult and graduate recruitment pages and program content.
  • Manage the daily flow of print and electronic communications to prospective students and corporate educational partners.
  • Manage the planning and execution of all content communication, marketing and materials for adult undergraduate and graduate events.
  • Collaborate with senior designer to create and update designated recruitment and outreach publications.
  • Leverage the student information system and other technology tools for outreach, reporting and analysis of all communications efforts.


  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in college/university admissions, marketing, or related experience in higher education preferred.  Experience working with adult students preferred. 


  • Outstanding creativity in outreach strategies, communication, and recruitment initiatives.
  • Understanding of higher education student recruitment practices.
  • Excellent writer, editor, proofreader, storyteller, communicator, and team player.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and efficiently manage time/workload
  • Competent with Microsoft Office.
  • Familiarity with SEO, CMSes, and project management system (preferred)
