Position Summary

Mount Mercy University is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Coordinator of Visitor Relations & Events in the Enrollment and Marketing Department. This position reports to the Director of Admissions. This is a full-time position.

The Coordinator is responsible for administering all aspects of the prospective student visit experience to their families in order to assist students in learning how Mount Mercy University may be a good fit for their educational goals. The development of individual visitor schedules and confirming appointments with faculty, coaches and staff will be required.

The individual in this position is responsible for developing and implementing of a variety of recruitment activities and services which will attract and benefit freshmen and transfer students to the university. The duties of this position require work in the evenings and on designated weekends for on-campus recruitment events. In addition, this position requires evening virtual event coordination.

Qualifications

A bachelors’ degree, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task. One or more years in college/university admissions, related experience in higher education, or experience in counseling, event planning, hospitality services, communications, or marketing. The individual must possess a valid driver license to operate a vehicle in the United States.
