Athletic Communications Graduate Assistant

Mount Mercy is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Communications for a competitive NAIA program. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, game day broadcast production, event management, digital content curation, photography, graphic design, website maintenance, statistical services, and professional writing. The ideal candidate may specialize on one or more of these areas based on skill set and experience. 

Preference will be given to candidates with an athletic communications background, proficiency with digital media tools (i.e. Adobe Creative Suite/BlueFrame Technology/Production Truck), strong communication and time management skills, and an ability to demonstrate a commitment to high academic standards. 

The successful candidate must also demonstrate a willingness to support Mount Mercy’s mission as a Catholic university providing student-focused education in the spirit of the Sisters of Mercy. This assistantship requires that the successful candidate be accepted and enroll in one of Mount Mercy’s master’s degree programs. The position offers a stipend and requires 20 hours per week at our main campus in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The assistantship does include tuition forgiveness.
