Position Summary and Qualifications

Mount Mercy University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Computer Science for August 2023. We are seeking a student-centered, enthusiastic, and collaborative colleague to assist in leading our data and computer science program. Candidates may teach a variety of computer science courses, engage students in research, and support the program’s goals of developing community partnerships. Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a closely related field. (ABD considered.) Candidates with experience in data science are strongly encouraged to apply though candidates with any specialization will be equally considered. Applicants with a master's degree will be considered for a non-tenure track position and are encouraged to apply. Excellence in teaching is a top priority for our institution. Responsibilities include teaching a range of undergraduate courses in computing, engaging in scholarship, helping to lead the growth and development of the program, and serving the mission of the institution.
