Adjunct Faculty in Biology Positions

Mount Mercy University is seeking adjunct faculty members to teach several courses in our undergraduate biology program for the Fall 2023 and Spring 2024 semesters. We are looking for qualified instructors that can teach in-person one or more of the following courses:

Fall 2023 (August 23rd- December 17th)

  • BI 123 – Biology of Human Concern (lecture and lab)
    • M/W/F from 11:30 AM – 12:20 PM and W from 12:30-2:20 PM.
  • BI 125 – Foundations of Biology I Laboratory (2 sections)
    • Tuesdays from 8:00 AM - 10:50 AM and/or Tuesday from 11:00 AM - 1:50 PM
  • BI 274 – Human Physiology (2 sections)
    • M/W/F 9:30-10:20 AM and/or MWF 2:00 - 2:50 PM - BI 374 – Integrated Physiology (lecture and lab) on MWF from 8:30-9:20 and T from 11:00 AM - 1:50 PM

Spring 2024 (January 22nd – May 10th)

  • BI 123 – Biology of Human Concern (lecture and lab)
    • M/W/F from 9:30 – 10:20 AM and W from 10:30 AM - 12:20 PM.
  • BI 303 – Genetics (lecture and lab)
    • M/W/F 1:00 – 1:50 PM and Thursday from 2:00 – 4:50 PM.

How to Apply

Candidates should have a doctorate or masters’ degree in biology or a related field, or be working towards completion of their degrees. Previous teaching experience is preferred. Screening of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
