Assistant/Associate Professor in Marriage and Family Therapy

Mount Mercy University is a small university located in what is known as the “creative corridor” of Eastern Iowa. Nestled in a lovely old neighborhood in Cedar Rapids, Mount Mercy has long offered an intimate and compassionate foundation of education and training for students from a variety of walks of life. In 2010 Mount Mercy grew from a college to a University with 4 Master’s programs and a 5th on the way. As of today we have 6 Master’s degrees and will soon have 2 doctoral programs offering advanced studies and research in Marriage and Family Therapy and training for Doctorate of Nursing Practice.

We are seeking a strong candidate for an assistant/associate tenure track faculty position in the Marriage and Family Therapy program. The individual will participate in teaching, research, supervision and mentoring in both the Master’s and doctoral programs. We are looking for someone with experience and passion in the area of couple’s therapy and who desires to be involved in a close mentoring relationship with students interested in advancing and deepening their skills and abilities in this area as well as the ability to teach foundational courses for the entry level student. The candidate should be licensed or eligible for Iowa MFT licensure and an AAMFT Approved Supervisor or Supervisor in Training. Some administrative responsibilities may be an option as well.
