Alumni Programs

Student Alumni Career Ambassadors (SACA) links students and alumni to encourage career planning, facilitate networking and promote lifelong connections with Mount Mercy. Examples of career related events include a networking reception, etiquette dinner, Dress for Success, "What Employers Look For" panel, corporate tours and MBTI interpretation.

Our alumni make up an invaluable alumni resource network of contacts across the country and especially in Cedar Rapids. They are involved and successful, integral members of their communities. Alumni in the network provide internships, job referrals, career consultation, informational interviews and sometimes serve as guest speakers.

The Mentoring Program matches interested students with alumni based on interests and career goals. Students benefit from the advice and experience of professionals as they clarify their goals, create a network and improve their business skills.

If you are interested in sharing your college experience with prospective students, you may be interested in the Alumni in Admission Program. Alumni may be asked to help with campus visit days, host an admission reception in their area, distribute fee-waived applications to students they know or tell prospective students about their Mount Mercy experience.

With the Classroom Connection, alumni share their expertise and real-world experience with students. Faculty invite alumni into their classroom to discuss how education, internships and networking helped their careers.
