For more than 10 years, we have helped hundreds of students just like you earn a degree while balancing school, work, and family. Although admission is granted on a rolling basis, we encourage you to start the application process early. Your application will be valid for one year from submission.

Students who have earned an Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree from Kirkwood or Hawkeye Community College are automatically eligible for admission to Mount Mercy. If you don't meet the following criteria, you may still qualify for admission based on the judgment of the Admission Committee.

Admission Requirements

Applicants should:

  • Be at least 23 years old
  • Have three years or more full-time work experience
  • Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale

Once you've been accepted to the program, we'll help you schedule an appointment with your personal academic advisor. Together you'll discuss your plans, review your transfer coursework and decide upon your schedule of classes.
