Liberal Studies (Accelerated)

The liberal studies major is designed to be student-centered. In this program, you’ll create a bachelor’s degree with an area of concentration that fits your educational, career, and personal goals.

A Liberal Studies Program for Working Adults

Complete your degree in as little as 18-24 months! (based on program and transfer credit)

The major is appealing to students who want to pursue opportunities in different fields because you’ll choose a combination of courses that fit your career and personal goals. It’s also ideal for students that:

  • graduate after a late change of major or vocational interest
  • desire a bachelor’s degree completion program that allows for greater flexibility in the use of transfer credits
  • want a degree to meet continuing education or personal learning goals

Curriculum

Start taking classes when it’s convenient for you—in-person or online.

Our courses are designed for working adults like you—so you can work, spend time with family and friends, and still earn your degree.

There's no need to wait months to start taking classes. At Mount Mercy, we have nine start dates throughout the year, and class blocks are every five weeks.
