Mount Mercy University, founded more than 85 years ago by the Sisters of Mercy, is a Catholic University that provides excellent student focused baccalaureate and graduate education. The Vice President for Finance and Business is an executive level appointment, reporting directly to the President of the University and serving as a member of the President’s Cabinet, the University’s senior administrative team. The individual in this position must demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the University as a Catholic, Mercy institution of higher learning.
Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; master’s degree and CPA along with higher education experience highly preferred. The candidate must be a proven leader with 5-7 years of success in leading the financial operations of a vibrant, contemporary organization. The successful candidate will demonstrate extraordinary proficiency in effective budget administration, strategic financial analysis and planning along with prudent investing and risk management. The successful candidate will also be familiar with contemporary financial aid leveraging/net revenue management systems.
