Grant Wood is known best for producing one of the icons of American art - American Gothic. It is a tribute to art and architecture. There are, of course, many other icons in art, architecture and photography. This sample of some of the architectural icons found on the WWW is offered as a lagniappe - a little bit extra. Enjoy. Suggestions for additions are always welcome. Eiffel, Gustave. The Eiffel Tower (1887-1889) Tour Eiffel. “The Official Site of the Eiffel Tower.” ©SNTE, 1997-2003. Accessed 6 May 2003.
