Professor of Social Work Rick Zingher has taught at Mount Mercy since 1990. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Kansas, and a Masters in Social Work from Rutgers University. Prior to joining Mount Mercy he served as an assistant professor at Georgian Court College in Lakewood, New Jersey. He also served as an instructor at Montclair State College in Upper Montclair, New Jersey.

Zingher formerly served as the director for the School Mental Health Program and the program director for Camp Vacamas in New York.

Zingher is involved with the Young Parents Network, as well as the Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission. He was named as Feld Chair for 2008-2010, an appointment awarded in recognition of teaching excellence and skill in facilitating the learning process.

In his spare time Zingher enjoys playing golf and tennis, riding his bike, and reading. He is available to speak to the media on the subject of fatherhood.
