Religious Studies Course Offerings

Thirty or 36 hours within the major are required to graduate to earn a degree in religious studies. The hours may be distributed in one of two ways, General Religious Studies Emphasis or Pastoral Ministry Emphasis. Special programs offered are:

  • Teachers in Catholic Schools -- Preparation requires the courses Introduction to Christianity: The Roman Catholic Tradition and the Teacher in Catholic Schools.
  • In-Service for Christian Educators -- Suggested courses are Introduction to the Bible: Old Testament, Introduction to the Bible: New Testament and Introduction to Christianity: The Roman Catholic Tradition or Introduction to Christianity: The Protestant Tradition
