Boy Scouts Camp on Campus

Mount Mercy University was pleased to welcome the Hawkeye Area Boy Scouts of America to campus May 11 - 13 for a camp out on the Hill! The Scouts were treated to visits from the Linn County Sheriff's Office, the Cedar Rapids Police Department's K9 Unit, and KGAN CBS2.

All Scouts were fitted for bicycle helmets courtesy of St. Luke's Hospital and received valuable bicycle safety tips. In addition to regular camping activities like songs and s'mores around the campfire, the Scouts also ventured on a Geocaching experience across campus courtesy of Mount Mercy University Associate Professor of Business and Department Chair Bob Walker.

Thank you to all of the people and organizations who participated and made this event a lifelong memory for the troops!
