Shakespeare on the Hill: Voice Recital Series

Weaving together music and stage, the University Center will pulse with the powerful voices of professional opera singers, the Mount Mercy University Madrigal Singers, and the outstanding theatrical performances of drama students on Saturday, April 26. Shakespeare on the Hill will entwine breathtaking Bard-inspired arias and duets with scenes from plays including Macbeth, Hamlet, West Side Story and many more.

Mount Mercy will celebrate Shakespeare Festival April 22-26. The week-long fest is a unique collaboration between members of the music, English, and drama departments aimed to honor Shakespeare’s 450th birthday. Tony Nickle, adjunct faculty in the music department, started the project as a part of the Voice Recital Series, a concert series that features professional opera singers.
Lessons & Carols - Christmas Concert

Members of the Mount Mercy University Choir, Jazz Connection, Band and Handbell Ensemble will perform Lessons and Carols Christmas Concert on Thursday, December 6, at 7:30 p.m. The concert will be held in Chapel of Mercy on Mount Mercy's campus. This event is free and open to the public; seating may be limited.
