Each year, Mount Mercy selects one incoming freshman to receive the Sister Mary Ildephonse Holland Scholarship, a full-tuition award. The Holland Scholar is selected based on ACT score and cumulative GPA, community service and extra-curricular activities, as well as participation in the university’s Scholarship Day Invitational. This year, Kennidee De Vilbiss from Ossian, Iowa was selected from a group of 100 applicants. Kennidee was a valedictorian of South Winneshiek High School class of 2014. She was involved in track, cross country, and choir.

DES MOINES, Iowa -- Jenna Higgins made it 3-for-3 this week. The sophomore all-American won the javelin for the third straight meet and garnered Midwest Collegiate Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week honors for the third time in as many weeks for the Mustangs. Full story >

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- Sophomore Jenna Higgins set a school and meet record in the 55 meter dash while qualifying for the NAIA indoor national meet, and senior Kelsey Hansen won the weight throw at Saturday's Sol Butler Classic hosted by the University of Dubuque. Full story >
