Beggin' For Mercy Improv

November 18, 2013 - 8:00pm to 9:00pm | McAuley Theatre, Mount Mercy University

Begging For Mercy Improv heads into uncharted waters this year as they present a new improv bit called, "Animal Kingdom," which is like MTV's real World meets the zoo. Animal Kingdom begins October 8th and will continue on through all Beggin' For Mercy shows this year.

In the first show on October 8, the audience will select an animal character for each of the players, and that will be that actor's character for the rest of the year.

At the end of each show, players will nominate three animals to face elimination and the audience will cast secret ballots to see who won’t be returning to the Animal Kingdom. The animal voted out will be announced at the following show.

Audiences will be involved in crafting the plot of Animal Kingdom each month. At the beginning of the show, audience input will establish which characters will be in a relationship, which are fighting, and other situations.

Animal Kingdow will be performed once a month, lasting nine months and generating about thirty scenes culminating with the audience voting for the winner in the final show.
