Ann Kleman, member of the local peace group, Workers for Peace Iowa, will be in Honduras in mid-March with a four-person team from Michigan. The team will be in Tegucigalpa, the capital city, where life and ministry take place amid constant violence and tension. At the request of Honduran Lutherans, their team will be there to help groups of ordained and lay leaders in developing means of fostering spiritual discovery and renewal in response to such conflict, so that these can then be spread to and practiced both in congregations and in neighborhoods. Ann will detail her experiences and observations about the troubles wreaking havoc on the country and what she learned from the efforts to assist in the development of more life-giving practices for people in that situation.
This event is free and open to the public.
