Ash Wednesday

Lent begins this Wednesday, February 13th. We cordially invite all members of the Mount Mercy Community to join us in receiving ashes as a sign of our devotion to God, God's grace, and a desire to turn from selfishness and individualism toward a culture of sharing and nourishing the common good.

Ash Wednesday:

• Mass at 9am at Sacred Heart Convent
• Mass at 12:05pm in the Chapel of Mercy
• Inter-Denominational Service at 7pm in the Chapel of Mercy

Throughout Lent, Mount Mercy is sponsoring several other events for students including:

• Participation in the Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl project this year, from February 13 - March 31
• Don’t be a Chicken, Do Something! Students are encouraged to look around campus for hidden eggs with a mini challenge inside
• Stations of the Cross, held February 18th and 19th at 8:30pm, followed by Rosary
• Communal Reconciliation Service, held March 13th at 4:30pm in the Chapel of Mercy
• A Seder meal
