Mount Mercy University is pleased to announce our first ExploreU@MMU World of Technology summer program for middle school girls completing 7th and 8th grades.
Program dates: June 11-22, 2012

This two-week program is designed to help young girls learn math and computer science skills while having fun. During the program, students will use Scratch software to analyze patterns and learn the fundamentals of programming while having fun.

This program will teach important mathematical and computational ideas while also helping students to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively. Participants will learn about prime numbers and pattern matching, while integrating math and computer science. This program will also engage students, open their eyes to math and science in the world around them, teach both ideas and skills, and ignite their interest in learning.
