Mount Mercy will offer a special closing reception for Graphic Design artist Bill Basler on February 10 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the Janalyn Hanson White Gallery. The public is welcome to attend and celebrate a local artist and his work. All events are free and open to the public, seating may be limited.
Basler's exhibit in the Janalyn Hanson White Gallery, "From color to cattle to coffee: A 29-year Gaphic Design Compendium" will be displayed January 6 - February 10, Monday - Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m.
Basler has been widely recognized in the graphic design and marketing fields. His firm's work has been featured in Communication Arts, Graphis, How, and Print, the most respected journals for graphic design and visual communication. Basler Design Group has also won hundreds of local, regional, and national Addy Awards and National Agri-Marketing Association (NAMA) awards. He is currently working with the producers of the hit TV series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to create artwork for a newly remodeled house in West Union, Iowa, to be featured on the show.
