Mount Mercy University's Janalyn Hanson White Gallery will showcase the work of artist Dawn Gettler during a special exhibit titled jill came tumbling after. An Artist talk will be held March 11 at 4:00 p.m. in the Busse Viewing Room, with a reception immediately following at 5:00 p.m. in the Gallery.
Born and raised in Iowa, Gettler received her Master of Fine Arts in printmaking at Ohio University in 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Northern Iowa.
She has been in various exhibitions around the nation, and recently completed an artist-in-residence program at The Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts in Omaha, Neb. This year, she received a full fellowship to Spiro Arts in Park City, Utah.
