Iowa Private College Week provides glimpse of life at Mount Mercy University

Mount Mercy University invites high school students and their families to visit campus during Iowa Private College Week, July 31–Aug. 4. Prospective students will have the opportunity to tour campus, meet with professors, coaches, and current students, and learn about the university’s exciting academics and campus life.

Sessions are available at 9 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. each day of the week, providing many opportunities for prospective students to explore why Mount Mercy was named the Best College For Your Money in Iowa according to MONEY magazine’s Best Colleges 2017 ranking.

“Iowa Private College Week provides prospective students an inside look at life at Mount Mercy University,” said Terri Crumley, assistant vice president and dean of admissions. “Visiting campus gives students a great opportunity to see if MMU is a good fit for their educational goals, explore our beautiful campus, and meet with our wonderful students, faculty, and staff. Moreover, the week provides visitors the chance to explore scholarship and financial aid options to learn how affordable a Mount Mercy education can be.”

Mount Mercy offers more than 45 majors and minors that promise the outstanding education needed to build strong careers. With residence halls, suites and apartments nestled on a beautiful, tree-lined hilltop, Mount Mercy presents a vibrant community for on-campus living in Iowa’s second largest city. The university hosts six graduate programs in addition to traditional, accelerated and online undergraduate coursework.

All IPCW visitors will receive a free t-shirt, the chance to win one of many $50 Amazon gift cards and more. Lunch will be provided for those in the morning session and snacks will be offered for those attending the afternoon block.
