Sounds of spring fill the Hill

Musical performances abound at Mount Mercy University this spring—including the release of Mount Mercy’s new fight song, a special show with the Waverly-Shell Rock High School Chamber Winds and MMU Band, and a talent show for students.

Music in March

Music in March will take place Sunday, March 12, at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Mercy. The annual concert will feature more than 40 musicians performing several pieces, including the debut of Mount Mercy’s new, official fight song, “Stand For Mercy,” composed by former Director of Bands Dan Terrell, with lyrics by Drama Coordinator Jason Alberty. Both the University Band and University Choir will perform during this seasonal concert.

Special WSR Chamber Winds & MMU Band Concert

Mount Mercy will welcome the Waverly-Shell Rock High School Chamber Winds to campus for a special concert on Monday, March 13, at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Mercy. The show will also feature the Mount Mercy University Band.

Jazz, Java, Jive

Mount Mercy’s Jazz Connect along with the Jazz Band will bring a little swing to the Sisters of Mercy University Center on Thursday, May 4, at 7 p.m. This event will also feature a talent show for students.
