De Vilbiss named 2014 Holland Scholar

Each year, Mount Mercy selects one incoming freshman to receive the Sister Mary Ildephonse Holland Scholarship, a full-tuition award.

The Holland Scholar is selected based on ACT score and cumulative GPA, community service and extra-curricular activities, as well as participation in the university’s Scholarship Day Invitational.

This year, Kennidee De Vilbiss from Ossian, Iowa was selected from a group of 100 applicants. Kennidee was a valedictorian of South Winneshiek High School class of 2014. She was involved in track, cross country, and choir.

Kennidee plans to major in nursing at Mount Mercy and will participate in cross country and track.
