Washler brings extensive admissions and recruitment experience to her role at Mount Mercy. She previously served at The University of Iowa for the past two years, helping introduce more than 8,000 prospective students and parents to university life, where she also facilitated student panels to help educate and inform high school students about college life.
She has extensive ties to Eastern Iowa, having served as a marketing intern at Brucemore as well as The Arc of East Central Iowa. She has also served as a peer advisor at the Pomerantz Career Center and as a communications intern at the Financial Services Roundtable in Washington, D.C., where she assisted with press events at the National Press Club and on Capitol Hill.
Other membership and volunteer endeavors include serving as a Students to Assist Recruitment (S.T.A.R.) Pen Pal at The University of Iowa and as a Corridor HR Advisory Network panelist. She also previously served as a member of the Public Relations Student Society of America.
Washler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication studies with a minor in sociology from The University of Iowa. She has also completed The University of Iowa's Career Leadership Academy, a four semester academic program which strengthens communication, teamwork, interpersonal and presentation skill.
