Duff Ridgeway named vice president for development

Mount Mercy University has announced that Duff Ridgeway has been named vice president for development, effective October 17. As vice president for the development office, Ridgeway will oversee campaign, development, alumni, annual fund and grant-writing operations.

Ridgeway brings to Mount Mercy an impressive resume of successful fund-raising and management experience. He is currently the foundation director for the Waverly Health Center Foundation, and previously served at several colleges and universities, including Simpson College, Indiana State University, and Bradley University.

His more recent higher education accomplishments include a six year period as the lead director of development at Wartburg College, where the team oversaw fund-raising operations, including the successful completion of Campaign Wartburg which raised more than $90M.

Ridgeway has served on the City of Waverly Chamber of Commerce Board and has previously participated in the Iowa Non Profit Summit & Iowa Dollars for Scholars campaigns for 2010 and 2011. He has presented on development and fundraising at CASE conferences and an Association of Fundraising Professionals conference.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and business administration/finance from Wartburg College, and has an anticipated graduation date of 2013 from the University of Northern Iowa, with a Master of Arts degree in Philanthropy.
