Mount Mercy places in U.S. News & World Report’s Best Midwest Colleges

Mount Mercy University has ranked in the top 25 Best Midwest Colleges according to the U.S. News & World Report.

Mount Mercy ranked 24th in the Midwest Regional category, as cited in the 2012 Best Colleges guide released by U.S. News & World Report and which will be on newsstands September 20.

The U.S. News college rankings has grown to be the most comprehensive research tool for students and parents considering higher education opportunities. The America's Best Colleges ranking package, which includes extensive editorial content and multimedia resources, has helped families navigate the difficult decisions involved throughout the college process, from college admission and selection to financing options.

With a fall 2011 enrollment of 1,824 students – the largest in the institution's history – Mount Mercy continues to grow in size and reputation, adapting to meet the changing educational needs of the Cedar Rapids and surrounding community. Mount Mercy offers baccalaureate and graduate education to more than 1,800 traditional, transfer, adult and graduate students. Popular undergraduate majors include business, education, criminal justice, nursing, and social work. Graduate programs are offered in business, education, nursing and marriage and family therapy.
