Mount Mercy University welcomes nationally known recruitment consultant Bill Humbert, author of RecruiterGuy's Guide to Finding a Job. Humbert's presentation, "Dynamics of Your Job Search During a Recession," will be held on Monday, April 18 at 7:00 p.m. in Flaherty Community Room, Basile Hall, and is free and open to the public. Seating may be limited.

A professional recruiter since 1981, Humbert serves as a consultant at RecruiterGuy.com, specializing in recruitment improvement, employment banding, creative candidate sourcing and interview training.

Over the years, he has read over 400,000 resumes, interviewed over 12,000 candidates and worked with over 3,000 hiring managers and executives. In the past 17 years, he has offered his services at more than 100 career fairs across the U.S.

His presentations include, "Secrets of a Successful Job Search" and "How to Get the Most Out of a Career Fair," which he has presented at career fairs across the country, including in Eastern Iowa, Omaha, Kansas City, St. Louis, Dallas, Houston, Denver, Ft. Collins, Chicago, and Milwaukee. He has shared his expertise with local businesses during the presentation "Creative Hiring for Small Business," which he presented to the Iowa City Chamber of Commerce.

Humbert has been invited to speak to students at numerous institutions, including Rice University in Houston, Texas; the University of California, Los Angeles; University of California, Berkeley; Brown University; Assumption College and Saint Joseph College of Main.
