Mount Mercy hosts second Congressional debate

Mount Mercy University will be the site of the 2nd Congressional District debate between incumbent Dave Loebsack (D) and challenger Mariannette Miller-Meeks (R) this Tuesday, October 12, from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in Betty Cherry Heritage Hall. Candidates will answer questions from a panel consisting of Bruce Aune and Chris Earl of KCRG-TV and James Lynch of the Cedar Rapids Gazette.  The debate is open to the public, but each candidate has reserved 35 seats for guests, leaving approximately 50 seats on a first come, first serve basis.
