Assistant Professor of Sociology Jane Junge joined Mount Mercy in 1983. She has served as a medical assistant in multiple medical offices prior to coming to Mount Mercy. Junge was awarded the top Sociology award upon her graduation from University of Northern Iowa.

Junge has conducted research in anthropology, sociology of law, criminology, and medical sociology and is a member of the Iowa Sociology Society, the American Sociological Society, and the philanthropic and educational organizations PEO and TTT. Junge also enjoys being a grandmother of six and volunteering with her family.
