International Programs

The Office of International Programs supports opportunities for members of the Mount Mercy community to increase their international awareness, intercultural understanding and global citizenship.

Working closely with faculty, staff, and students, International Programs works to:

  • Build international partnerships
  • Offer short-term, semester, and academic-year education abroad programs
  • Present on-campus co-curricular events with an international focus
  • Assist with the integration of a global perspective into the curriculum

All Mount Mercy students are invited to consider their options for education abroad. Studying abroad can increase your global awareness, provide opportunities for personal growth, enhance your academic learning, and offer you new professional contacts and prospects. Programs can be as short as a week or as long as an academic year and subjects studied abroad can range from biology to marketing to literature. In addition to study abroad programs, students can investigate internship, volunteer, and work abroad opportunities.

Faculty and staff can also investigate international possibilities, from planning a short-term study abroad course, to exploring opportunities for international fellowships or faculty exchanges.
