The Cedar Brass Festival, in residence at Mount Mercy University, presents the annual Cedar Brass Festival, June 16-30, 2013. This year, the Cedar Brass Festival offers two different sessions: Session 1 focuses on large brass ensemble repertoire, and Session 2 involves chamber music. Each session day will involve intensive rehearsal and sectional coaching. The two-week festival with culminate with two concerts in the community and one concert performed at Mount Mercy University. Mount Mercy University has announced the completion of the purchase of Terex property to develop a multi-purpose athletic facility. The property, located at 909 17^th Street NE in Cedar Rapids, consists of 36.4 acres, of which 22 acres are now owned by the university. Read more
