Drama Coordinator

Be creative!  Mount Mercy University is a Catholic, coeducational University founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928 enrolling approximately 1800 students.  The University offers a variety of liberal arts, professional, accelerated, and graduate degree programs.    

This is a ten-month, part-time hourly position beginning August 1, 2013 and ending May 31, 2014.  Reporting to the Coordinator of Campus Music, this position will:

  • Assist in the advising of student drama clubs and oversee drama scholarships
  • Direct two theater productions per academic year
  • Oversee theatre, supplies and equipment

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree (master’s degree preferred), extensive experience and a successful record of coordinating and collaborating in the delivery of co-curricular drama activities in educational environments.  This experience should include oversight and responsibility for coordinating clubs, workshops, field experiences, drama and musical productions and other types of speech related performances.  Technical Theater experience is highly desirable.
