Dr. Robert Pearce

Dr. Robert PearceAn Oklahoma native, where he was born in 1944, Dr. Robert W. Pearce received his Bachelors degree from Phillips University (Enid, OK) in 1965.  While working towards his Masters in Educational Administration, Pearce served as the director of admissions and records, being awarded the position at age 23, and completed his degree in 1967. His doctorate in higher education administration was received from Oklahoma State University in 1972. Additional studies were pursued at the University of Tulsa School of Law (1965-1966) and the Institute for Educational Management, Harvard University (1973, 1991). 

Dr. Pearce later became vice president for administration and finance at Southern Arkansas University (1977-1988) and vice president for financial services and tenured professor of education at Idaho State University (Pocatello, ID) (1988-1999). Pearce was inaugurated as Mount Mercy College’s second lay president on May 1, 2000.
