Education Division

Mount Mercy College offers education programs to prepare professionally competent teachers. We stress field experience in a variety of educational settings from students' enrollment in their first education courses. Our programs are approved by the State of Iowa Department of Education.

Our strong teacher education program provides licensure and specific endorsements in a range of programs from preschool through secondary school. Our graduates are competing successfully for teaching positions across the country.

In addition to the fulltime faculty, some courses are taught by specialist educational practitioners from the region. Their specific expertise adds to the breadth of our program.
