An invitation…

Plan to visit the Mount Mercy campus and see for yourself why Mount Mercy can offer you an education based on excellence for the career goals you have in mind. While you are here we’d like to take you on a tour of the buildings and grounds and introduce you to faculty and students. You are also welcome to sit in on classes, participate in campus events, and stay overnight in one of our residence halls.

The Mount Mercy Advantage

Our Program Includes:

  • A minimum of four practicum experiences prior to student teaching.
  • A full 16 weeks of student teaching experience.
  • A caring, dedicated and up-to-date faculty.
  • Small class size with opportunities to work individually with faculty.
  • Opportunities to explore and then specialize in several teaching areas.
  • Support in developing resume and interview techniques to enhance career opportunities.
  • Support in seeking employment in the teaching profession.

Our faculty is interested and involved in a broad range of education activities, including early literacy, international education, and educational research. All of these interests and elective course offerings come together to help provide you with a balanced, challenging program in teacher education.
