In addition to the required classes shown above, transfer students will also need to take the following required courses at Mount Mercy: CJ 299 (Criminal Justice Information, Communication, and Ethics, CJ 302(Criminal Justice Research Methods), CJ 305 (White-Collar Crime), and CJ 410 (Criminal Justice Senior Seminar). Students will also need to take a one-hour capstone course. Lastly, three criminal justice electives are required for the major.

Other criminal justice courses from Kirkwood transfer as elective (OT) credits, which can be counted toward the 123 semester hours required for graduation with a B.A. degree from Mount Mercy. A student may transfer up to 63 semester hours from Kirkwood to Mount Mercy.
Transfer students must complete at least 15 SH of coursework for the criminal justice major at Mount Mercy. Also, if a course is not listed, it may still be considered for transfer credit, subject to approval.
