Kimberly Moorman is a finance and management major from Coggon, Iowa. During her time at Mount Mercy, Moorman has been involved in a variety of activities on campus including Enactus, the Investments Club, STEPS Leadership Program, service trips, and several study abroad opportunities, while also giving back to the community in a multitude of ways. Over the past four years, Moorman has volunteered her time with Junior Achievement, Young Parents Network, St. Matthew’s Church, St. Luke’s Hospital, and serves as the treasurer for an Iowa State House of Representative’s campaign.
The organization that has had the largest impact on Moorman during her time at Mount Mercy is Enactus. She has served as a project lead, secretary, and president of the Enactus team, contributing well over 1,000 hours of service. She has participated on the presentation team for three years, which has advanced to national competition the past two years. She has been recognized for her accomplishments through the organization by earning the Enactus Platinum Service Award, being recognized as one of five Enactus Student Leader Award recipients, and was chosen as the Enactus Emerging Leader from over 17,000 students in the nation.
Moorman credits much of her success to the faculty at Mount Mercy who have not only taught her in the classroom but also helped her to realize her potential. Additionally, she would like to say a special thank you to her family for always supporting and encouraging her.
