Health Services
The mission of Health Services is to promote total wellness by increasing the awareness of healthy lifestyle choices and to assist individuals to achieve and maintain physical, psychological, emotional, and spiritual health. The goal of Mount Mercy Health Services is to encourage and assist students, faculty, and staff in the process of learning to independently select healthy behaviors. Learning about positive health behaviors is an ongoing process of progressive changes in addition to taking charge of an individual’s life. The purpose of learning is to empower the individual to assume appropriate responsibility for one’s own health. This process will continue through the college career and is an integral part of the total educational experience. The Health Services Department is here to assist in making well-informed choices, increase awareness of healthy life style choices by offering educational programs and for the general acute health care needs of the campus community.
Immunizations
Incoming students are required to submit proof of immunization to Health Services prior to the first semester's first day of class. Failure to provide this information will result in cancellation of the student's registration.
