Sisters of Mercy

Mount Mercy College was established by the Sisters of Mercy in 1928. As a Catholic college founded and sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy, Mount Mercy welcomes women and men of all beliefs to join our community in the pursuit of higher education and service to the common good.

The campus community strives to continue in the tradition of the Sisters of Mercy to serve “wherever human need exists.” This spirit of service provides students with a relevant foundation for leading practical, successful, and meaningful lives, and the physical and spiritual presence of the Sisters of Mercy impacts the identity of Mount Mercy as an institution and in the lives of students.
