Location and Collections

The college archives are located in Busse Library. The archives contains materials that document the history of Mount Mercy College and are divided into the following collections:

 

 

 

  • Documentation: minutes, reports and publications that chronicle the day to day operation of the college including those of academic departments, administrative offices, student organizations and auxillary services.
  • Images: photographs, slides, CDs, and composite class pictures dating back to the early days of Mount Mercy Academy, Mount Mercy Junior College, the Mercy School of Nursing, and Mount Mercy College.
  • Scrapbooks: newspaper articles about people and events at Mount Mercy College, dating back to the 1950's.
  • Media: audio-visual-films, videos, DVDs, and recordings of college events.
  • Artifacts: clothing and ephemera that help tell Mount Mercy's story.
  • Rare Books: from the Sisters of Mercy collection
